Jenkinson’s opinion:
Bailey has been a popular choice for many years they did some great ranges such as Senator, Pageant and Ranger. In 2010 they had a re think and went all new with construction that was rigid and based very much on box van building. This limited the profile and Bailey have tried some strange ideas such as the quirky Orion in which the Pursuit replaced. But the Pursuit wasn’t a ball of fire so another version was launched the last in fact which is our chosen year. The Pursuit 570 is a family friendly layout with fixed bunks and a spacious front lounge.
The Pursuit in common with other Bailey’s doesn’t have a front locker which does restrict storage. The interior offers a front lounge which is ideal in size for a family. A side kitchen offers some storage and worktop can be extended with a side flap. Opposite is the wardrobe and washroom with separate shower but the wardrobe is slim on hanging space. The front lounge has the opening sky vent while the rear of the Pursuit offers side fixed bunk beds and dinette opposite so very family friendly.
Side kitchen comes with oven/grill and three burner hob and fridge plus microwave
How to find a good one
Now the Pursuit was never over popular, even in Series 2 guise it didn’t hit the mark, but used its got more going for it If your keen to check one out Bailey dealers are a good bet on trade ins, but I found several for sale private. Prices have firmed up on family tourers in 2021 and the Pursuit is up around a £1000 on last years used price. The GRP sides are tough and mainly no major problems but floors can get damp and also look out for those sagging cushions. Look for any added extras to the dealer would no doubt list any in the window sticker.
Front lounge offers twin single beds or a large double, check the seating for support
